It is a Copco tradition to build a raft every trip. Well, that is if JD is around.
The rest of us are way too Lazy without the inspiration of JD and his abundant enthusiasm.

The first thing you have to do to build a raft is take the boat around the lake and collect logs, usually from things like bridges up river that have washed out in the winter, and drag them back to our beach. Years ago logs were abundant on our own beach and the earliest rafts were built without ever leaving the shore.
